Guardrails and proposals

Organization guardrails apply to every agent, with named, expiring exceptions; governance proposals change nothing until a person accepts.

Organization guardrails

Guardrails are rules for the whole organization. Approval guardrails only ever ask a person: they apply after roles and before pre-approvals. Data guardrails are the organization's data protection settings. Before you turn an approval guardrail on, Intertrace shows what it would have asked for over the last 7 days.

GET /api/org/guardrails

Exceptions

An exception is named, scoped to one agent and expires: 7 days by default and 90 days at most. There are no permanent, unnamed holes.

Governance proposals

Intertrace proposes changes, such as retiring an ask that people always approve. Every proposal applies through the same write path a person would use and changes nothing until a person accepts it. Asks inherited from the organization or a policy pack are not offered as per-agent changes.
